TAA Webinar- Results of the 2019 Legislative Session: What laws are about to change?

For the past few months, Texas legislators have been considering changes in the state’s laws—including some that will affect your operations. TAA’s government affairs team has been working hard on your behalf, tracking 400-500 of the 7,000+ bills filed during the 86th session of the Texas Legislature, which will adjourn on May 27. While the governor has until June 16 to sign bills into law, this webinar will give you an early preview of which laws you can expect to change in the next few months and how you can start to prepare for those changes.
On this webinar, you’ll learn about
•TAA’s affirmative legislation on late fees and city fees and how those bills fared in the legislature.
•New legislation affecting issues such as lease terminations and a tenant’s right to transport and possess firearms, and
•Changes to the property tax system.
